We all know how far JavaScript has come in the last 3 years, but what amazing things can be done with it? New capabilities in HTML5 open up an entire new suite of applications for the web. This session will cover a range of topics dealing with performance, bleeding edge multimedia, file io and binary data, and more!
Eric is a Developer Programs Engineer on Google’s Chrome Developer Relations team. Over the last two years he’s worked on various developer focused products, including Google Docs, Sites, Health, and OAuth. Recently, Eric joined the Chrome team to help spread HTML5 goodness around the globe. He is the author of the book “Using the HTML5 Filesystem API”. Prior to Google, Eric worked as a software engineer at the University of Michigan where he designed rich web applications and APIs for the university’s 19 libraries.
